Information for Employers

Employers can gain access to an untapped labour force.  People with disabilities are motivated to work and employers can receive professional support services from the Jersey Employment Trust.  The services that we offer fall primarily into three categories: Recruitment Services; Workplace Support & Training; Information, Advice & Guidance.

Recruitment Services

JET offers employers a comprehensive recruitment service, with full screening of candidates, analysis of the job and a job matching service with our candidates.  All JET candidates have received specific training to develop their generic skills for today's job market.  This training can include education courses, work experience in the commercial environment, CV and interview support and much more.  Services available include:

  • Screening
  • Job analysis
  • Job matching

Workplace Support and Training

Once a person is placed we can offer a professional on-the-job training service, to maximise the new employee's potential and ensure that the training process does not detract from the employer's core business purpose.  Further training services are available if the job should change to meet the commercial needs of the business or if the employee is promoted.  Services available include:

  • Appropriate support in the workplace
  • Risk assessment and health & safety
  • Job retention
