I've gone from being a nervous wreck in crisis to being a full-time employee in the public sector and a member of the church council, a JET Ambassador, and also a Trustee for Focus on Mental Illness in the Third Sector. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their support.
JET is vital. Had I not been for referred to JET, I wouldn’t be as well as I am now. I have a much healthier life, and I am making better decisions. Being in work is a vital part of me being an active member of the community, to volunteer outside work, to pay my taxes, to take part in sport and to have a social life.
I felt compelled to become an Ambassador for Dean. He was a good man who gave himself to being a beacon for the benefit for all. And you don't stop hearing the echoes of the reaches he made stretching his arms around all four corners of our Island.
