Job Retention

At JET, we understand that a person's health or medical situation may change over time and this change could have an impact upon their employment.

JET provides a bespoke Job Retention service aimed at providing support to both the employer and employee at this difficult time in their career.  Depending on the company and person's individual needs, this could include:

Job Retention

We are available to provide support to a person who experiences a deterioration in an existing medical condition, or who acquires a long-term illness or disability, to help them retain their job.  We can also assist an employer to support the employee and ensure they comply with the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013.  Job retention support could include:

  • Occupational Health assessment of the working environment
  • Role and task assessment
  • Exploring reasonable adjustments
  • Facilitating employer/employee meetings
  • Signposting to relevant advisory or support services

Return to Work

Returning to work following a longer period of absence can be daunting for an employee and the employer alike.  JET will work with all parties involved to provide advice, guidance and signpost to appropriate services to help facilitate a return to work.  This could include:

  • Role and task assessment
  • Exploring reasonable adjustments, including change of tasks, working hours or work space
  • Considering relevant adaptations, equipment and funding possibilities

We are always happy to hear from you, or your employee, if you have a job retention or return to work enquiry.
