Sasha Russell, Organisation Development Consultant at the Government of Jersey
As an autistic person thriving in my role, I feel incredibly fortunate to have the support of an inclusive employer, an understanding manager and a fantastic team. I believe everyone deserves that same experience, no matter their background, disability or neurodivergence. That’s why I’m proud to become a JET Ambassador – to help raise awareness of the vital services JET offers, and to advocate for the brilliant clients they support.
Outside of work, I am Co-Chair of the Neurodiversity Network. This is an employee-led group dedicated to raising awareness of neurodiversity and highlighting the immense value that it brings to both our organisation and our Island community.
Dean and I had been talking via email about how we could set up more placement opportunities across the Government of Jersey for JET clients. We were due to meet on the Monday to start the project, but sadly Dean passed away that weekend. Although we never got the chance to meet to officially kick off our work together, I am passionate about continuing Dean’s mission.
