JET Ambassadors

Dr Adam Perchard, writer, artist, and theatre-maker

I am incredibly lucky to have made a career doing my favourite things in the world. In my professional life, I move fluidly between theatre, music, visual art, and poetry. These days my work takes me all over the world, but Jersey is my home.

I am passionately grateful for all the wonderful opportunities the Island has given me and really thrilled to have the chance to give back and help create opportunities for other people by becoming a JET Ambassador.

Like many members of the LGBTQ+ community, I have experienced anxiety and depression in my time.  I went through a serious breakdown while working as a university lecturer in London, and I know how difficult it can be to navigate the world of work while dealing with poor mental health.  Finding a career path that was right for me was such a huge part of my recovery, which is one of the reasons I am so delighted to be working with JET.

Promoting inclusion in the workplace is vital, and I am very proud to be able to help show the world the brilliant work JET does to make that happen.
