Employability

Employability focuses around preparing a young person for the world of work through various activities.

Preparing for Work

It is important to be ready to start a job.  We can help clients with things such as:

  • Setting up a bank account
  • Obtaining photo ID
  • Applying for a Registration Card
  • Getting an ITIS rate
  • Applying for a DBS check

Pre-employment Support

Our Under 25s team can provide in-work support to help a client settle into a role, learn new skills or retain their employment.  This might include:

  • Creating a CV & cover letter
  • Preparing for an interview
  • Job shadowing or job tasters
  • Trying a work experience
  • Doing a short term work placement
  • Completing a paid Internship
  • Undertaking job specific training

In-work Support

Once you have secured a role, we can help you maintain this either by offering support in the workplace to you and your employer, or by continuing our 1:1 meetings outside of your working hours.

We can help you identify any reasonable adjustments that would help you succeed in your role, and support you to discuss these with your employer.
