Community Volunteering

Our Community Volunteering Coordinators work with clients to secure work experience placements within a charity or non-profit organisation to enhance their employment skills.

Volunteering projects can help build transferable skills and evidence a client's readiness for paid employment.  These skills include being able to demonstrate teamwork, time management and commitment whilst building confidence towards employment goals.

We work closely with a number of charities and volunteer organisations across Jersey to be able to offer supported opportunities in a wide range of industries.  These include organic land management, retail within charity shops, general maintenance and DIY, hospitality, administration and assisting within organisations that work with children and the elderly.

Volunteer Jersey

Association of Jersey Charities

We have worked with JET for many years and have several people working with us at present. All have brought different levels of experience that has enabled the club to flourish and grow, and all the help they provide they has been invaluable. Without JET we would have struggled to man the activities that we provide here at GCC and the members have built fantastic rapport with every volunteer from JET. We cannot recommend JET highly enough, and strongly urge any business to support them by giving their clients a placement, as the benefits for both are really amazing.
